Why did we create this course? From GURPAAL - The owner of LSS.
Starting out can be daunting, I’ve been there. With seemingly endless amounts of information online, but no real way to understand what’s relevant and where to focus your attention it can be tricky and oftentimes frustrating navigating the early days of writing music. Just over 10 years ago I was pretty lost trying to start writing music but I was lucky enough to have a good friend, Mani (who is now a fellow teacher at LSS) to guide me through those early years.
Not everyone will be lucky enough to have a Mani in their life to show them the way and guide them through the many obstacles that come with starting to write music. This is the exact reason this why this course exists. To demystify the process and offer you a streamlined path to be able to successfully create and produce your own original music and write complete track ideas from scratch. Through the 6 x 2 hour in person sessions at Little Street Studio, you will learn the fundamental skills and concepts of music production and apply them in context as you craft your own original production over the 6 weeks.
We would like to emphasise that no prior knowledge is necessary for this course. Perhaps you currently DJ but would love to develop your skill set and start being able to produce your own music, or are a singer / songwriter looking to be able to produce their own music rather than relying on a producer, or maybe you just love listening to music and would love to pick up a new skill. Whatever your reason, we invite you to kick start your music production journey with us at LSS.

The LSS Music Club is a growing community of past and present students, tutors, industry professionals and generally like minded individuals working towards similar goals, sharing knowledge, music and guidance via our online private Discord server. Offline meetups for LSS Music Club Members centre around workshops, track feedback sessions, creative challenges and other such activations at the studio.
